All consultations are carried out by our expert valuers, who can accurately assess the value that can be achieved for the items to be sold. Appointments can be made with 1 hours notice.
How will payment be made?
All clients of Lulu's Estate Jewellery are paid via bank transfer, cash or cheque, whichever they wish.
How much can I expect to be paid for my jewellery?
When clients choose to sell their valuable items, they can expect Lulu's Estate Jewellery to accurately value their jewellery. The value of all precious metals, and diamonds has increased significantly over the last decade. This means clients are usually pleasantly surprised by the value of their unwanted possessions.
I paid £8,000 for my ring, should I expect to get £8,000 from Lulu's Estate Jewellery?
High retail mark-ups, often many times in excess of the intrinsic value of a particular item, may mean an original purchase price is not achievable. However, depending on when an item was bought, any losses may be countered by the significant increase in the value of the precious metals, and diamonds, in the interim years.
I have an insurance valuation for my jewellery of £10,000. Will Lulu's Estate Jewellery match this valuation?
The valuation of your insurance company will be based on the replacement cost of the item involved, i.e. the price you would have to pay for a similar item from a jewellery store.
Lulu's Estate Jewellery can pay clients attractive prices for their jewellery, but we are unlikely to achieve the replacement value, simply because of the mark ups associated with jewellery at the point of sale.
What kind of jewellery will you buy?
Lulu's Estate Jewellery will pay attractive prices for most fine jewellery.
As well as a means of allowing ladies to keep up with changing trends within the jewellery market, and exchanging unwanted gifts for money, our service is particular popular with clients who may wish to realise the value of damaged, broken or incomplete jewellery, where one item such as an earring has been lost.
How much jewellery can I sell?
There is no limit to the number of items you can sell to Lulu's Estate Jewellery. However, if the total valueis in excess of £12,000, we will require documentation to verify your identity and address.
Is there a minimum amount of jewellery that I can sell?
No, Lulu's Estate Jewellery works on behalf of our clients to achieve attractive prices for their jewellery, regardless of the total value of the jewellery you wish to sell.
Do you pay for Gemstones?
Yes, we pay attractive market prices for diamonds, the diamond market, like precious metals, has benefitted from significant price appreciation over the last decade.
What testing methods do you employ to determine the purity of gold, silver and platinum?
